1. Phoenix
We’re going to start this list of supernatural creatures with one that is well-known. Phoenix is a fire bird that originates from Greek mythology, and it is connected to the sun. Other than it’s more than cool appearance, Phoenix has an ability of rebirth. They die in a combustion and flames cloud, but soon they are born again. Because of this, phoenixes have been symbolizing the cycle of life and rebirth throughout the history.
2. Pegasus
Another one from the Ancient Greece. Pegasus comes in a form of a winged horse, and he is completely, purely white.
His father is no less than one of the three mightiest gods, Poseidon, and Medusa is his mother. As you can see, Pegasus’ origins allow him to be one of the most powerful creatures in the Greek mythology, and he uses that well, helping Bellerophon and Perseus on their quests.
3. Banshee
Banshee comes from the Irish folklore. She is one of the bad guys because she is often associated with death. Reportedly, banshee often heralds the death by making loud screaming sound. She is the messenger of the underworld, and there is no end to the possibilities for her appearance. She can sometimes come as astonishing, beautiful woman, and sometimes she can be the ugly old lady. She often lures around forests, so beware if you hear mourning.

4. Blemmyes
Blemmyes are maybe less known creatures with their origins coming from Libya, but this certainly doesn’t mean that they aren’t horrifying. Yup, these
Yup, these cannibalistic monsters are completely headless, and their faces lay on their chests. Their name comes from a Hebrew terms that can roughly translate as “no brain”. So… no brain,
So… no brain, man-eating, headless creatures. Well done, Libya, well done.
5. The New Jersey Devil
This supernatural monster traces back its origins to the New Jersey Pine Barrens. People who have reportedly seen it, say that this creature has horse head and bat-like wings, and it features very loud scream. Maybe we could see why this myth is so important for the people from New Jersey when we mention that animal farms have been reported missing over the years. While this is most likely due to some
Maybe we could see why this myth is so important for the people from New Jersey when we mention that animal farms have been reported missing over the years. While this is most likely due to some carnivorous animals, it is much more mystical to say that New Jersey Devil contributed to these disappearings. The Urban myth of New Jersey Devil has been completely downgraded today, but around the 1910s it seemed like it was big of a deal.

6. Tiyanak
Tiyanak takes a form of a child. But of course, it’s not some cute child that you would gladly play with… No, these guys are more like a child from your worst nightmares. In my opinion, these are the ugliest forms of supernatural creatures I have ever seen.
They usually appear in the woods, and they cry very loudly to attract passengers. When they succeed, they consider that their destiny is fulfilled. That’s right; they don’t have any other ambitions than to allure naive passengers off their way. How naughty of you, Philippines.
7. Encantado
Encantados come from Brazil, and they are in a form of dolphins that have an ability to shift into humans.
They have been known for their musical abilities, and their only goal is to have parties. Also, when they take human form, Encantados wear hats very often.
They tend to use many different techniques of mind control in order to manipulate with people, and because of that, Brazilians usually don’t come near Amazon River at night.
