Are you Team Damon or Team Stefan? If you like the bad boy type you will probably gear more towards Ian’s role as Damon on this addicting television series. Between all the sexiness, love lust with Elena, and just plain lust for blood, Ian will leave you begging for more.
It wouldn’t be a surprising statistic if most women watched the show just for him.
2. Lost
A huge commercial plane crashes on an island with no hope of being saved, but on the bright side you have Ian Somerhalder to stare at. He plays the role of Boone Carlyle, who was the very sexy step brother of Shannon Rutherford.
The two harbor sexual tension between them which despite the fact that they aren’t actually related it is still kind of weird. Boone’s character was unfortunately short lived and he ended up dying due to injuries from being crushed under a falling plane.
3. Pulse
This 2006 scary movie is a remake of the Japanese film Kairo. The movie stars Ian Somerhalder, Christina Millian and Kristen Bell, with a cameo appearance from Brad Dourif.
Oh how I love cameo’s. The plot is basically this: A computer hacker taps into some creepy wireless signal and all of his friends get together to try and save the world. Ian plays the role of Dexter, which I think could be a very fitting name. If you enjoy Ian and if you also enjoy being scared, this could be your kind of film.
4. The Rules of Attraction
What happens when you mix a virgin, a drug dealer and a bisexual classmate? You get a movie! This 2002 film follows the college experiences of over privileged students.
Ian Somerhalder plays the role of Paul Denton, and if you want to know more you’ll just have to watch it for yourself.
5. How to Make Love to A Woman
When you are failing at pleasing your girlfriend it might help to try and figure out how to become a better lover. That’s what Andy Conners tries to accomplish in How to Make Love to a Woman. Ian plays the role of Daniel Meltzer, a colleague of Andy’s fiancee Lauren Baker.
Andy mistakenly misinterprets the relationship between Daniel and Lauren and takes the assumption that she is cheating on him. Gotta love the relationship drama!
6. The Anomaly
This British science fiction action thriller is the kind of movie that you actually have to pay attention to. That means smart phones, iPads, and laptops away! Ian Somerhalder plays the role of Agent Harkin Langham, who leas the conspiracy battle known as “Anomaly”.
The movie takes place in a futuristic setting and follows mind control, as well as cutting edge biotechnology. Is our favorite vampire the bad guy in this film as well? You’ll have to watch it to find out!
